Dollywood has an amazing fall festival with lights, pumpkin/fall themed food, and fall themed crafts.
Weather is fantastic, you don’t want to miss going at least once this season.
Checkout some of the decorations, like this Pumpkin Spider:
This magic Dream Tree can make your wish come true, and it says so. At night, the tree becomes alive and viewers can see many butterflies flying around making your wishes.
There are decorations just everywhere in the park, this time of year.
Checkout this first person video we took on Dragonflier, a ride for kids as the height requirement is only 39″ if accompanied by an adult. But don’t worry parents, it looks creepy but the G force is not going to re arrange your intestines. It’s light enough for even the youngest riders, and seems totally safe with the straps they put you in.
For parents seeking real thrills, try Drop Line®:
Drop Line® lifts guests more than 20 stories above Dollywood’s Timber Canyon. The ride’s gondola slowly spins around the tower as it ascends, providing guests with a bird’s eye view of the Great Smoky Mountains. Guests shouldn’t get too comfortable with the commanding vantage point they find high above the ground; however, in an instant, Drop Line plummets them back to the ground in a thrilling rush of excitement.
We did this at night, it slowly brings you to the top and the view is majestic, you can see right around the mountains. Just as you are enjoying the peaceful view, you experience pure freefall and your body is at the top of the restraints. It’s an amazing experience – but not for the faint of heart.
The extent of the decorations, lighting, and atmosphere is difficult to put into words or show in photos. Here’s a short video:
